Venue
The courses will be held at UFSC main campus in Florianópolis. The exact location of the building where the summer school will happen is in the Event Map
Each course will be 4.5 hours (8:30-10:00, 10:30-12:00, 13:30-15:00). We recommend arriving at 8:00 for registration purposes and for setting up computing accounts, in the event you do not have already a personal computing account with UFSC.
Coffee-Breaks will be served at 10:00 and at 15:00 at LabSEC on the second floor in the same building.
Lunch is free time, and we recommend students to have it on-campus at “Centro de Eventos da UFSC”, or at the restaurant around the campus. Staff will help those need information regarding that.
The courses will be hands on and will happen on the computer laboratories available at UFSC. The Lab is a “laptop lab”, so it has 20 laptops what makes easier to see the lecturer at times than normal computers. These laptop have a series of software restrictions (which will not be a problem at first), so you are encouraged to bring yours to replicate the experiments on your own and have more freedom on the experimentation.
